A Poem for someone

The winds of change are blowing and the time is moving fast
Yet reflection is a friend of ours to think about the past
The cadence of our interaction
The rhythm of my heart
Fall into moments of laughter, goodbyes and then we part

Is it a ‘Rhythm Collision’ or a ‘Song for Someone’
I can’t decide
But the depth and length of our friendship sometimes brings us side by side
The times you rile, pry, cry
has often left me screaming …
despairing, occasionally elated … yet once again left reeling

Intoxicated by this unhinged world
and all of what could be
In the midst of life’s great tragedy .. and it’s comedy
So this Song for Someone is a taste of love .. with all it’s honesty

I sit I eat I share I care
I love I weep I heal
tomorrow brings another day
but what of tomorrow’s prodigy

I sleep I dream, I hold, I wonder of stolen moments of which I ponder

I stole from your mouth
And there is a light.. don’t let it go out’
To wish you love,
and discover your soul,
To find the truth and your damage control
To survive then thrive I tip my top hat 

When you turn up the heat on the thermostat

Turn meaningless
into meaningful …
Turn strident sounds to a beautiful Melody …
Keep your dreams entangled in your aching heart
and tune the rhythm of life
Into a healing remedy x
